Practical Guidance for Parents

Academic supervision residence is connected to the student’s valid educational status. Parents should therefore prepare both their own documents and clear evidence of the student’s current enrollment and residence. If the student’s residence is close to expiry, renewing the student’s status first can prevent the parent’s application from being limited or delayed.

What Usually Causes Delays?

  • An enrollment letter that does not cover the current academic year.
  • Differences between the student’s name on school records and the passport.
  • Missing proof of the relationship between the parent and student.
  • The student’s residence expiring while the supervision application is under review.

Practical Application Notes

Bring additional photocopies of the passport, entry stamp, student documents, and relationship documents. The number of copies requested can vary between immigration offices. Keep the submission receipt and confirm when the file should be checked again.

Renewal Planning

Start preparing before the student’s residence expires. Continued eligibility normally depends on continued enrollment and a valid residence held by the student.
